-valis Pick of the Week

Hail Voyagers! Our Pick this week comes from Modena, Italy: The Diaphanoids! Their latest album, and second under this moniker if I have all the facts, is entitled LSME and is out on Tirk Recordings. (The same people who bring us The Time & Space Machine, etc.)

In the bands own words, (consisting of Marco "Simon" Maccari and Andrea Bellentani,):
" The Diaphanoids come down heavy interiorly re-disegned with an acid psychallucisergic album full of seventies' kosmische flavours fuzzed-out guitars and motorik rhythms. " Yes, they do indeed. Once you press play on this album you're locked in for the remainder of the trip. Easily captivating and effortlessly engaging, The Diaphanoids hit so many touchstones you'll lose count. Perhaps my favorite, because of the track's affinity to "Tomorrow Never Knows," (at least in my head!,)is "The Blackest Sun." Here's a taste, via a teaser video from the label:

Bring on the NEU's!
