-valis Pick of the Week

The ones clash! On this eleventh day of the first month of 2011. 01/11/11, (or, for the Europa readers: 11/01/11.) Anyway, today's Pick is Chicago's own David Singer & The Sweet Science.

Of his latest album, Arrows, Chicago Tribune Critic Greg Kot says: "A master of slow-motion psychedelia, the better to appreciate his wryly bittersweet lyrics, the former Kid Million vocalist and multi-instrumentalist remains one of the city's most evolved pop craftsmen of the last decade."

"Slow-motion psychedelia" indeed. Cool burning and subtle also. Check out the links.

You can listen to the archived stream here; or, hear it this Friday,on The Dead Man's Turn Me On, Dead Man show on Live365, where it's heard every Friday at noon eastern time, as well as Mr. Atavist's Sunrise Ocean Bender show, heard every Friday from 3 to 6am eastern, on WRIR in Richmond, VA.
