-valis Pick of the Week

Hail Voyagers! Our Pick this week, from New Jersey: The Grip Weeds! Their newest album, How I Won The War, is out now on recently-revived label JEM Recordings.

At 17 tracks this new album -out today, is sure to satisfy fans both new to their sound and those who are well-acquainted with the band. As on past releases you're assured of that Grip Weeds blend of power-pop and psychedelia which is pure aural bliss to these ears. Also featured on this new release is a great cover of George Harrison's "The Inner Light," first heard as a b-side to the "Lady Madonna" Beatles single. The song is in capable hands here. Lastly, Kristin Pinell, as lead vocalist on the "Over and Over" track, is a revelation. You may hit the repeat button a few times, too!

All hail The House of Vibes!!!
