-valis Pick of the Week

Hail Voyagers! We turn to Stockholm, Sweden, for our Pick this week: The Flight Reaction! Their self-titled debut album is out today via 13 O'Clock Records.

It comes as no surprise, to me, a group of veterans comprised of former members of The Maggots, The Giljoteens, and Les Artefacts, unleash their formidable and muscular chops and create a pulse-pounding garage rockin' psychedelic classic. Yes, a classic. One which, imho, will stand the test of time and twenty years hence still be heralded as a brilliant example of the genre. A veritable feast for "Coolest Song In The World"-type DJs. My favorite? The Nuggets-esque "Slide Away" with its eastern motifs and understated fuzz guitar buzz, not to mention lyrics showing veteran skill. Again, everything on here is amazingly crafted and a masterpiece of the genre. Highest recommend! The Flight Reaction are: Måns P Månsson - guitar, vocals; Sebastian Braun - guitar, vocals; Mats Bigrell - drums; Aron Erstorp - bass, vocals. Get it!

Pre-orders are now available for the Flight Reaction's debut album! The album includes a download code, and the first 100 copies of the album will include a special limited editon 11" x 17" poster! The first 100 copies will strictly be available here and through the band only. First come, first served on these, so don't wait too long as there have already been a number of inquiries about the album! Here is the pre-order info:
