-valis Pick of the Week

Hail Voyagers! From Gothenburg, Sweden, comes our Pick this week: The Movements! Their new album, Like Elephants 1, was just released this past Tuesday, November 5, in the U.S.A., on Crusher Records. (Released stateside by license via Cleopatra Records.)

The five-piece band certainly have ingested the right kind and quantity if you've a taste for The Soundtrack of Our Lives, The Nomads, Singapore Sling, etc. An unrelenting ten-track document "Like Elephants 1 offers swirling psychedelia in ‘Great Deceiver’, catchy rock riffs with ‘All The Lost’, choral psychedelia through ‘Like Elephants 1’ and folk-rock in ‘It Takes A Spark’. The album consists of ten well-worked songs of high quality and has for the most part been recorded at Music A Matic in Gothenburg. Produced by The Movements and Michael Nilsson."

Even better news comes as Like Elephants 2 is due early next year, assuring us all another gulp of the good stuff! Buzz-worthy.
