-valis Pick of the Week
Hail Voyagers! Apologies for the delay, life goes on. Anyway, honored to be hipping you to the newest release by long-time favorite, Chicago's own Secret Colours! In a city of great bands they've consistently shown they are a force to consider. Their newest album, self-released this past Tuesday, May 28th, is entitled -aptly so, Peach.
Consisting of a 13 tracks, the band's efforts have bore fruit here as all are worthy of your time. Though oft-used, the phrase "a band in maturation" rather forcefully leaps to (my) mind as I hear it in the lyrical content as well as the growing abilities to match their desired outcomes with the final mix of the songs. If the center can hold we have every right to expect great things from them. Consistently.

Secret Colours official release party happens June 8th, at The Empty Bottle.
