-valis Pick of the Week

Hail Voyagers!
New week, new Pick! Despite a name suggesting they're from a clime and locale strange and wonderful, they've really no need of it given their from a place known -by me and many, as a locus of strange as it is also spiritual home for good friend Anton Barbeau: from Sacramento, California, San Kazakgascar!

Their latest effort, an EP entitled Drought Times, offers up four tracks of raga n' roll to sate your voyage on the DMT whorl, all seventeen minutes. Then your back. Then you'll opt to take the ride again. Their Bandcamp shows the way!

As they state:

San Kazakgascar is a beautiful country with beautiful people. It's origins are a blend of Byzantine/Eurasian civilizations and 18th century colonialism. After much turmoil in the 20th century, the people of Kazakgascar feel they're getting a fresh start with the end of the 3rd World War.
Kazakgascar's major exports include copper, wheat, textiles, and comedy. The House of Lords: Jed Brewer, Greg Hain, Paul Takushi, and Mike Woo.

Hello Valis,

Been wanting to check out the archived show from Jan 8 at the KDHX site, but it seems that only the Jan 1 show archive is available. Will the Jan 8 show be posted for listening on KDHX? Thanks in advance!
