-valis Pick of the Week
Hail & Happy New Year Voyagers! Our first Pick of the Week in 2013 comes from a band who've maintained not only a prodigious pace but also a high standard of quality: London, England's Black Market Karma!
Recently-released fourth album of the year (!), Semper Fi, stands on its own merits in what has become a boggling catalog(ue) of great rock and psych' records. As a friend noted to me in a voice mail message shortly after release: "This one has a LOT of sitar. You'll LOVE it!" He's an astute one and knows well my tastes and weakness for sitar utilization. (I hope the above YouTube video provides proof.)
Word has it they're back at it, working on a new long player. That's no candle being burnt at both ends, it's a stick of a dynamite. GO BMK!!!

FYI: The radio show began its annual look back at the entire Pick of the Week selections, in order, from January to December, 2012. Yesterday's show, January 1st, started in January and ended in mid-July; next Tuesday's show will pick up where we left off and run through to the end of 2012.
The archived stream will be available until January 14th.
