The Wayback Machine

Happy Holiday Monday to our American readership and, to the rest of space, Happy Monday! (Lundi, Montag, etc...)

Our guest Time-tripper today hails from the Windy City where he & his band the Goldstars create havoc, mayhem, and general chaos. (I know, I saw 'em play with Plasticland last year at the Empty Bottle!)

The band have just released-or, are about to release a new LP, Nightclub on Pravda Records. (Check out their Purple Girlfriend release, too. Highly recommended.

Readers, please welcome ex-Krinkle and current bass-playing vocalist for the Goldstars.....SAL!!!

Sal, where you gonna' go?

You've been given a one-time opportunity to use The Wayback Machine to go back in time. What band do you want to see, in what year, and which song do you most want to see them perform..?

Sal: Hands down I would give anything to go back & see Buddy Holly perform live. When I listen to his stuff, he just blows me away. People talk about artist who are “way ahead of their time”, well for me he is thee man in rock n’ roll. His music is truly timeless. Also his tragic death at 22 definitely lends to his mystique. OK, I’d like to go back to 1958 & hear “It’s So Easy”...

Thanks for the trip, Sal (vocals, bass) of The Goldstars

THANKS SAL!

You can't ever go wrong with Buddy Holly. Ever seen that episode of the Young Ones where Mike finds Buddy hanging through his ceiling subsisting on daddy long leg spiders?
